The food here is restaurant quality (even better than some restaurants) especially their calamari and walnut shrimp. The service is good/fast from the last few times I've been this year. The price is reasonable and the location is easy to find.
Amazing spot for large parties, family style encouraged. Would recommend roughly 2 times per 3 people. We had just under a 1:1 ratio of items to people (less items than people) and had tons of leftovers. Great for a night in after everyone's exhausted. There's also a solid amount of indoor seating and ample parking because the restaurant is in a large plaza. Without going into the details of every item, maybe skip the chow mein and sweet & sour pork. Noodles were a bit underwhelming and the pork was rough. Opt for the chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, and salt & pepper fish. They're classics for a reason but also very flavorful and soft, easy to eat. Could go either way on the string beans and calamari.
Jade china is a must for comfort Chinese food and party trays. I have ordered their salt & pepper wings and fish which turns out to be the star of any potluck and dinner. Order ahead of time and call 30 minutes ahead of pick up time. My past experiences have varied and had to wait 40 minutes to an hour when I showed up. Be sure to let them know you're on the way so they can freshly fry and cook your orders. They speak Canto chinese, Vietnamese and englis
We ordered a bunch of items to try for work lunch around noon time off their website. It probably took 20 mins. It was ready when we arrived. There were no utensils included in the to-go bag though. Remember to get utensils. The portion was huge! They really pack the to-go boxes full! So worth it! The best items were the chow fun, Mongolian beef, and fried prawns. The house chow mein and house fried rice were good too. All the proteins were tender and juicy. Seasoned perfectly. Not over salted. Cons: The sweet and sour pork was heavily breaded with a little chunk of meat. The eggrolls had like almost no pork but a bunch of cabbage so I wouldn't recommend it. I would call it a veggie eggroll lol. Chicken salad wasn't good either. The chicken was dry. Chinese food is oily. So that's expected. But the chow fun was really oily.
Do you ever just stumble upon a restaurant on accident because you're hungry and you kind of just say to yourself, Chinese sounds good, then you manage to find the extasy of Chinese food finds of your life. Well, that just happened to us. The food was incredible. It was soooo good. The fried chicken wings alone are well worth a trip over to this end of the bay. My daughter gobbled up her house chow mien. The crispy sesame beef was perfection. My daughter also loved the sweet and sour pork, as did I. The rice was good. The only thing I really didn't care about because everything else was delicious. It was really good food. Do not pass up the chance to get your Chinese fix from here. The chicken wings, I just cant stop thinking about them.
Tldr: local favorite for chicken salad, salt & pepper dishes, and wonton noodle soup. I also like their fried rice. My go-to for fairly quick Chinese food to go. I have their phone number on speed dial to order before I drive to pick it up. I really like their salt and pepper shrimp, and the S&P chicken is really good. The fried rice has a bit of wok hei and is quite fluffy. Chicken salad comes with crushed peanuts, fried wonton wrapper strips, and a deliciously sweet salad dressing. The shredded white chicken meat is a bit dry if you don't use the dressing. The wonton noodle soup hits the spot on rainy days. Broth is very mild, mostly cabbage flavor. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and I'll be back again soon.
